  • little support - everything done by mother. But has little support to be told how to do it.
  • Wants to try to get support
  • also has drug problem - no joining up. Can't resolve one without the other.
  • Cycle of prison-release-prison.

  • NOT MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO SUSTAIN JOBS e.g. space to make mistakes
  • Motivation - y.p. (young people) need to complete things + reflect on what they've gained. Not give up... Mentors
  • y.p. (young people) understand need to create their future - not be at the mercy of circumstances
  • Support needed: e.g. group to help develop and sustain goals.
  • exposure to different experiences - incl. work circumstances/environments.
  • understanding need to be open to part time & temp. work
  • Safe space for y.p. - being treated with respect
  • Youth engagement rather than youth programmes (targets) (concerned, interested, challenging adults.)
